I'm defining serious musician really as someone that gigs, does some recording, and overall has a need for a dependable workhorse bass guitar you never have to worry about - a guitar for a serious musician. This list features some choices from Fender Japan, some other made in Japan options from FGN (Fujigen), Sterling by Music Man (Ernie Ball), and even a Gibson bass option! I have had a lot of hands on experience with these basses over the years, but I also want to hear from you.
