Great Central Railway - Betwixtmas - Deltic Running Day - 28th December 2024
A second day of the Christmas services with BR Standard 5 73156 and Class 55 Deltic 55019 "Royal Highland Fusilier". During the afternoon the Deltic ran in to battery issues and had to be started from the generator in the steam heat coach luckily situated behind the locomotive.
Seating was at a premium on all services with many standing so hopefully the GCR will have had a successful day financially.
