It's with great excitement that we reveal progress made on our very own project bike, the INFO MOTO Triumph Speed Twin Super Build. Fresh from the paint shop we today took it for its first ride with its new upgrades. Watch the full reveal video here...
For those not up to date, we began this project with a stock Triumph Speed Twin, as we look to build our ideal modern Brit twin.
While we have no real complaints with the standard machine, we wanted to see just how special we could make it. First up, we installed Ohlins suspension - the front-end taken from the previous generation Triumph Speed Triple, and the rear pinched from a Thruxton R.
The fine folks at Verex built the exhaust, which along with an air intake upgrade, allowed us to gain nearly 10 horsepower. We also fitted a variety of exterior touches from Triumph's accessories catalogue, mirrors and indicators from a Rocket 3 cruiser, and aftermarket upgrades like Evotech levers, a custom seat, Arton Works instrument faces, a tail tidy and radiator guard, among other touches.
Not to be forgotten is the complete red, white and black INFO MOTO paint scheme on the tank and side panels.
The bike managed a healthy 98hp (72kW) and 117Nm on the dyno, as we near our goal of 110 horsepower with a cam upgrade and ECU tune. Can we achieve it? Stay tuned.
