Back in the University of Auburn Charles Barkley was a 300+ pound beast.

After a stellar career, he decided it was time to make some real money and declared for the NBA draft.

The Philadelphia Sixers wanted him but worried about his weight.

Barkley heard the news and got down to 272 over the summer.

But just days before the draft he got a phone call from his agent.

The Sixers could only offer the NBA rookie minimum.
