Bitterly cold temperatures about this evening, with arctic air continuing to bring a wintry feel to the UK weather picture. Snow showers will affect far northern coasts overnight, and there will be a strong wind chill due to gusty winds here and along North Sea coasts. A clear and cold night across the UK, with temperatures dropping below freezing. A band of rain and snow will move into the southwest on Thursday morning. There are yellow ice warnings in effect for Northern Ireland, north Wales, northwest England, and east England, and a snow and ice yellow warning is in effect for Scotland. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the evening of 20/11/24.
