Saturday September 8 2012 at 7.25. The 6.05 Leeds to London (8.37) train heading south at speed. It seems as though it can be heard 40 seconds away which is well over a mile. This is the last and most northerly of a number of 4 or 6 track level crossings on the East Coast Main Line and its 27 miles further north to the next crossing. Nearly half (90 seconds) of the wait here was cut out.
