A 40-year-old cafe owner, Puneet Khurana, was found dead at his home in Delhi’s Model Town area on New Year’s Eve. Police suspect suicide as the cause of death. Khurana, reportedly “upset” over issues with his estranged wife, had been going through a divorce since their marriage in 2016, according to his family.
This incident comes weeks after a 34-year-old Bengaluru-based techie, Atul Subhash, also died by suicide. Subhash was discovered hanging in his Bengaluru apartment in December, leaving behind a placard reading, “Justice is Due.”
