The World Health Organization (WHO) held a news conference in Geneva on Wednesday about the COVID-19 outbreak.
During the briefing, WHO Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the organization and its partners are organizing a study called the "solidarity trial" to allow nations to share information on COVID-19 experimental therapies and research. Some participating countries include Canada, Argentina, France and Iran, among others, with more expected to join.
Also, Tedros reported that there have been more than 200,000 known COVID-19 cases worldwide, and among those, 8,000 people have died from the virus.
