In 2013, in collaboration with Recfishwest, we installed two artificial reefs on the seabed off Dunsborough and Bunbury as part of our South West Artificial Reefs Trial Project.
Our scientists monitored the reefs through a number of methods including baited remote underwater videos (BRUVs), allowing us to assess the diversity, abundance and size of the fish found on the artificial reef modules and in the surrounding natural areas.
