With just a couple of days left for the grand phase to occur in Telangana, leaders upped their campaigning speed. TRS supremo, K. Chandrasekhar Rao is going to address in six meetings today. The schedule is as follows. He addresses public in Sathupally at 12 noon, later heads to Madhira at 1 pm and at 1.45 pm he attends meeting at Kodad. Next he reaches out to Huzurnagar and conducts meeting at 2.30 pm and heads to Miryalguda and Nalgonda for attending public meeting.
All arrangements were in place for Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s election meetings scheduled to be held at Sathupalli and Madhira in Khammam district on Monday.
Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageswara Rao, Khammam MP P Srinivas Reddy, party leader M Dayanand and others inspected JVR Degree College Grounds at Sathupalli on Sunday and reviewed the arrangements.
The party leaders in Sathupalli and Madhira constituencies held meetings to mobilise public and party cadres for the meeting. Khammam Commissioner of Police Tafseer visited the venues and directed officials to ensure tight security.
Kutami suffers shock
Meanwhile, in Khammam rural mandal Praja Kutami suffered a jolt as TDP mandal president Banoth Redya Naik joined TRS along with his supporters. The development was said to be a shot in the arm for TRS in the wake of the December 7 elections.
