The family of Jamzir Tucker, the 15-year-old boy who was shot and killed by an Akron police officer on Thanksgiving night, held a press conference Friday morning alongside attorney Robert Gresham from The Cochran Firm Ohio.
The family, along with attorney Stanley Jackson of The Cochran Firm Cleveland, held a brief press conference Thursday after the city released police body camera video of the shooting.
“There’s a lot the family has to process tonight and we’re going to let them have that moment to be able to be with each other and share and to process the video that we’ve just seen," Jackson said.
Jazmir's mother and aunt both spoke briefly during that press conference, saying their family is devastated.
"Jazmir was a freshman at North High School in Akron and is being mourned by family and friends, including his twin brother, Amir," according to The Cochran Firm.
