I am Socrates, a man of Athens who cannot stop asking questions. My life is unremarkable. It is my many students who record my dialogues for posterity, and in doing so, invent much of modern thought. Cynics and hedonists and logicians all trace their beginnings to my irreducible questions. I am only proud that I lived a virtuous life to the bitter end.
