Ultimate Skyrim is a modlist containing over 300 mods, all built around the excellent Requiem Roleplaying overhaul.

US' first goal is to transform Skyrim into a realistic fantasy RPG with heavy emphasis on roleplaying, simulation, survival, and classic RPG mechanics. Its second goal is to provide a simple installation process that is accessible to as many players as possible.

Season 1 uses a much older version of US, but still offers a decent glimpse at US' gameplay and feel. The "roguelike" features of US' early versions have been rebalanced, including permadeath, which is an optional feature.

The complete Ultimate Skyrim package includes new lands, items, weapons, monsters, factions, and more, and the interactive instruction guide allows users to personalize their installation according to their needs and preferences.

Players must make careful choices about their resources and goals. Characters can advance in many ways, but each path presents unique obstacles. Survival demands preparation, and flippant players pay the price. Skills, perks, and gear are more important than ever. Powerful enemies can be encountered at any level. Skyrim's denizens act on their own will, and do not cater their behavior around the player.

Progress is difficult, and even slight accomplishments are more satisfying as a result.
