Short explanation:
A-Yuan (Lan Sizhui) is adopted by Lan Xichen instead of LWJ since LXC find LSZ cute. LWJ got persuaded (read: forced) by LXC to adopt Lan Jingyi simply because LXC wants LWJ to be 'softer' which is so NOT Lan Wangji.
Long short story, both Sizhui and Jingyi ended up getting tutored by LWJ (through ways that better stay confidential). Unlike Sizhui who gets a straight A ++ on every report card, Jingyi might need some 'motivation.'
This short is about a 'peace' talk between Jingyi and LWJ after his report card day
