In a striking political development coming out of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Vajj Jaganmohan Reddy escalated his vehement offensive against TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and JCP Supremo Pawan Kalyan. At a rally in Denduluru, attended by hundreds of thousands, Jaganmohan Reddy employed virulent rhetoric, framing the opposition leaders as the embodiment of contemporary equivalents of evil characters from Hindu epics, Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Most notably, he dubbed Naidu as a 'blood-sucking Chandrabukhi', a cryptic reference with folkloric undertones. Reddy further denounced the TDP as a 'yellow virus' needing elimination, a striking metaphor depicting the opposition party's influence as toxic and pervasive.
