In this session, I will present the seven computational thinking skills: data collection, data analysis, decomposition, abstraction, finding patterns, building models and developing algorithms. We will explore cross-curricular resources which engage students with the foundations of computational thinking. Using computational thinking skills leads to a culture of perseverance, innovation, collaboration and problem solving. Employing computational skills and the attitudes which spring from them prepares students for their eventual jobs, over half of which do not yet exist!
