Sudev Sheth, Senior Lecturer of International Studies at The Lauder Institute and the University of Pennsylvania, will present his latest book, Bankrolling Empire: Family Fortunes and Political Transformation in Mughal India. His research examines the evolution of a prominent family business in seventeenth-century India and its impact on political and economic structures over generations. The discussion will be moderated by Douglas E. Haynes (Dartmouth College), Osama Siddiqui (Providence College), and Anil Askin (Brown University).
