APEX 22.1 is the first APEX release that supports building Applications directly based on the MySQL Database Service in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Leveraging ORDS "REST Enabled SQL" functionality, APEX components can visualize data directly from the MySQL database.

In this Office Hours session, Carsten Czarski showed how to set up a connection to a MySQL Database Service within APEX and how to build an application, using tables, views or SQL Queries being executed in the MySQL database. Learn how to create a Catalog of REST Data Sources, each executing a SQL Query in the MySQL Database Service and how to synchronize data to the APEX schema.
