The Somerton Man | Australia's MOST MYSTERIOUS Cold Case
Who was the Somerton Man?
The Somerton Man is an Unidentified deceased man found on SOMERTON BEACH in ADELAIDE, South Australia in 1948.
The Police spent years trying to uncover the identity of this JOHN DOE but with very little clues to go on they could not find the man's family, identity or cause of death.
The mysterious circumstances under which the SOMERTON MAN was found only add to the mystery. Only a few clues were found in relation to the case, one being a secret code written in a book of poems known as the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam and a torn piece of paper from the book with the words "TAMÁM SHUD" a Persian Phrase meaning "finished" or "It is Ended"
One of Australia's longest and most speculated on mysteries.
