Kings Mountain is a nice small city in that fall in both Cleveland & Gaston counties of North Carolina. Kings Mountain is part of the Charlotte metropolitan area which is one of the fastest growing in the country with more than 2.6 million people. Today Kings Mountain has a little more than 10,000 residents - Kings Mountain is the 85th largest city in North Carolina.

The area today called Kings Mountain was called White Plains until 1874 when the city was incorporated and changed to Kings Mountain. The residents changed the name to Kings Mountain since the city was close to the historic site where the battle of Kings Mountain took place in 1780 which was a turning point in the Revolutionary War. Thomas Jefferson , one of our founding fathers, proclaimed this victory as a major turning point of the war.

Kings Mountain is only 30 minutes west of Charlotte and has a great deal of attractions. Here are some to Note:
