What’s quickest in a drag race - a Tesla Model Y Performance, or an Audi RS4? Well, we’re about to find out!
So let’s take a look at how these two compare. Starting with the Model Y Performance, it’s an all-electric SUV powered by two electric motors. Combined, they offer all-wheel-drive and can put down 527hp and 660Nm of torque. Being electric, it’s weighed down by the batteries and motors, so it tips the scales at 1,997kg.
Then we have the Audi. It’s packing a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet, which produces 450hp and 600Nm of torque. Given it’s an estate it’s not exactly the lightest, although it comes in under the Model Y, weighing in at 1,745kg.
So the electric power of the Tesla means it will be quick off the line, but could the extra weight prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
