When speaking with a client or prospect, it's best to meet with that individual face-to-face rather than on the phone or through email.
Reason being is because communication is non-verbal and meeting eye to eye with a client or prospect gives you a deeper look into who they are, rather than speaking on the phone.
Yes you can get a sense of who they are and yes your tone of voice is important while speaking on the phone, but meeting in person gives the communication a more personable experience for that client or prospect.
If you can meet with that client in person, you should, because this alone could be the reason why you close more business, create a new business relationship or just getting a better understanding of that client.
