In the summer of 1989, Norfolk & Western Class A #1218 was running out of Alexandria, Virginia on a couple of trips. This was the return of the Saturday trip that ran down the Southern main line. There is not much to see here, but there is a lot to listen to as she rolls through Manassas, Virginia whistling at the many crossing in such a ghostly way it sends shivers through your spine.
Enjoy what the engineer of that day provided us with!
