SVT also known as supraventricular tachycardia is an extremely fast heart rhythm. Imagine your heart rate being over 200 beats per minute at rest! That can happen with SVT. We provide a synchronized cardioversion to the patient to SLOW their heart rate and "reset" the rhythm of the heart.
