Quick sound test of my upgraded Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz Bass. It sounded good before, but sounds killer now!
.
I replaced the stock pickups with DiMarzio DP123 Model J pickups which are warm and punchy! I replaced the stock bridge with an Omega Bass high density bridge, a replica of the famous Leo Quan Badass II bridge known for improving sustain, clarity, and intonation.
.
Also replaced the control plate electronics with an ObsidianWire solder-less wiring harness which made the pickup swap super easy.
.
It’s a huge improvement to the sound and responsiveness of the bass. Definitely worth the extra dollars to get an inexpensive instrument sounding professional.
.
What do you think of the tones?
.
Thanks!
