It's just like a relationship. Being an employee that is. When they first start out, everything is wonderful - cotton candy clouds and rainbows that shower skittles with a pot of gold at the end. And then, over time....?
Or maybe it was a different experience. The onboarding process wasn't good - but they decided to come in on the first day anyway, because they didn't want their new beau (job that is) to be disappointed and they didn't want to look bad. But as in EVERY relationship, where there's smoke, there is fire and now they are in a working relationship and environment they no longer love.
They are now - - - DISENGAGED. UNPRODUCTIVE. UNHAPPY.
Statistics say that 70% of the U.S. workforce is disengaged. And that disengagement costs $450B - $550B ANNUALLY!
How do you get your employees to love you again?
