The Chester Zoo Chimps are a fantastic group, they are very well balanced and all play a role in caring for the younger chimpanzees.

There are currently as of 2023, 20 chimps in 2 separate chimp groups at Chester Zoo consisting of 7 Males and 13 Females The oldest is Boris at 56 years old Born 1966 and the youngest is Jeff who was Born in December 2022

Most of the chimps at Chester Zoo, have appeared in the popular nature documentary series, shown on TV called The Secret Life Of The Zoo.
This animal documentary series was first aired on TV in 2016 and has run for 10 seasons from 2016 - 2021
