Robert Twigger takes issue with well-worn career advice such as “follow your passion” or the “10,000 Hours Rule”. Robert argues that most successful people, including winners of the Nobel Prize, develop multiple areas of expertise typically with investments much shorter than 10,000 hours. In his talk, Robert will guide us on how to learn any 'micro' skill quickly and why this approach works.
Follow Robert on @roberttwigger In this age of busyness and cyber distraction, it’s rare for people to take the time to learn, improve and perfect their craft – let alone having more than one. Robert Twigger in an exception, a true polymath who has written novels, poetry, has taught English abroad while learning martial arts, and has been on crazy expeditions all over the world.
He’s the author of 13 books, including his 2017 ‘Micromastery’, a guide on how to become fast learners, spot creative opportunities and ultimately boost our happiness. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
