The Ministry of Tourism is targeting to attract 2.5 million tourists between July 2024 to end of June next year, up from 2.18 million tourists realised in the year to June 2024. Speaking during a Performance Evaluation with the Deputy Chief of Staff Eliud Owalo, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano said a number of initiatives have been employed to realised increased tourist arrivals. Owalo says performance evaluation execution exercise that will take two months will measure the extent to which commitments made at the beginning of the financial year are met.
