NeyPayasam with absolute Temple like payasam (easy yet yummy )
Jeerakashala ( Short grain Raw Rice ) - 3/4 cup
Jaggery - 1 full cup or 200 gm (depends on quality and taste )
Water - 1 1/2 cup
White Sugar - 1/4 cup
Sizzling hot Ghee / Clarified Butter - 1/4 cup(total)
Coconut Bites - 2 Tbsp
Preparation:
Take a deep vessel pan or Uruli add jaggery , water and melt and boil it. Add sugar and mix well for 5 minutes . Later add cooked rice *(note: rice must be cooked extra else after adding jaggery rice will harden also must add hot fresh cooked rice so as to avoid lumps and no need to add salt in it)*
Keep stirring rice continuously to avoid lumps for atleast 5 mins or more .
Now add hot ghee batch wise in each 5 mins and continous stirring for total 15 mins.
Roast coconut bites in 1tsp ghee and add into payasam .
Mix well.
Payasam is ready to serve .
