Remote control Reaper you ask? Yes, you can. 16 channels in two banks of 8 plus master fader. Transport control works with start/stop/pause/record. And you can record arm/mute/solo the 16 channels (again in two banks of 8 channels).
The Zoom R16 is in USB interface mode. The Reaper setting for remote control protocol is Mackie Control (dev 10.11). The R16 has to disabled as a midi in and out device, though. Error messages on start/stop will tell you when you've got it wrong.
