Massive protest erupted on Monday at Silchar against the murder of Bajrang Dal member Shambhu Kauri at #Patharkandi constituency of #Karimganj district. The streets of Silchar city heated up with slogans & tension as Bajrang Dal workers burnt effigies of jehadis during the protest.
The protestors demanded that the killer be hanged and financial aid be provided to the family.
Police forces were deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
