The PADI Rescue Diver Exercise 2 - PADI Panic Diver Releases Escaping Grasp at the Surface is a very important PADI Rescue Diver skill to learn in the unlikely event you encounter a panic diver at the surface.

You will learn the PADI Rescue Exercise 2 - PADI Panic Diver Releases in your PADI Rescue Diver Course, but it is also part of the PADI Divemaster, PADI IDC Course, and the PADI IE Exam.

Many panic divers at the surface are not listening or paying attention. They just want to get buoyant. For this reason they might grab you to stay buoyant on approach. The PADI Rescue Diver Exercise 2 PADI Panic Diver Releases is a great technique to use to avoid a struggle with the panic diver.

How to perform the PADI Panic Diver Quick Reverse Skill correctly:

1. Have one diver be the panicked diver at the surface
2. The rescuer can approach from all sides to help the panic diver
3. When the rescuer get's to close have the panic diver grab the rescue diver.
4. The Rescue Diver should now try to inflate both BCD's, release himself from the panic diver's grasp and swim away.
