We head to the vibrant Bangkok area of Silom as the offices begin to close up for the day. There is always lots to see when we walk around the streets of Sala Daeng.
We start off the walk on Sala Daeng Road and we head north onto Silom Road close to the Silom MRT Station. From here we head west along Silom Road for about 700 metres before cross over the street, thankfully avoiding a stupid tax driver who drove straight through a red light at a pedestrian crossing.
Along the way we take a slight detour around the wonderful street food stalls that line either side of Convent Road. This is a great place to come and get at bite to eat at lunch time or into the evening.
After we cross over to the far side of Silom Road we head further north onto the backstreets of Soi Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra 1 and Soi Than Tawan. These streets take us to Surawong Road where we head east to one of Silom's late night hotspots - Patpong and Patpong 2.
Our walk takes us back onto Silom Road where we end up on the far side of the street from where we started the journey.
Total distance walked: 2.43 km (1.51 mi).
