Prof. Susan Fainstein, Senior Research Fellow from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, gave a lecture entitled "Can We Make the Cities We Want?" in Singapore on 22 February 2013, organised by the Centre for Liveable Cities (www.clc.gov.sg). Prof. Fainstein cited examples from Amsterdam, New York and Singapore to make a case for the "just city" — one that is based on the principles of diversity, democracy and equity.
