We do a 5 day Ice Age Trail backpacking trip! On this trip we cover 67 miles across 5 days and completed the following segments; Ice Age Trail St Croix Falls Segment, Ice Age Trail Gandy Dancer Segment, Ice Age Trail Trade River Segment, Ice Age Trail Straight Lake Segment, Ice Age Trail Trade River Segment, Ice Age Trail McKenzie Creek Segment, Ice Age Trail Indian Creek Segment, and the Ice Age Trail Sand Creek Segment. We earned our Traprock Trekkers Certificate which is a hiking reward program offered by the Ice Age Trail Alliance. Backpacking Wisconsin Ice Age Trail was very fun and challenging. I recommend everyone visit the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail as least once for a multi-day backpacking trip. We stayed at several of the Ice Age Trail DCAs sites (designated camping areas) and had a great time. We started our hike at the Western Terminus of the Ice Age Trail at Interstate Park and completed the Indianhead Chapter over 5 days.
