👨✈️One of the great things about the STEM & Aerospace teaching area is that technologies come out to make things easier. The yr9s are learning to make and fly drones atm, however one of our old 'tiny whoop' favourites, the Eachine E10, have transmitters that are now only being sold in a mode-2 configuraration - throttle on the left. We fly mode-1, throttle on the right. The E10 transmitters also have inherant problems with small sticks, they are way too short which results in poor resolution and particularly poor throttle control. Enter the iRX4 lite, a multi-protocol module that fits on the back of our Frsky X-lite transmitters and can talk not only in an Frsky language (a protocol) but also in E10 (the protocol is called MJXq) not to mention many others - the upshot of this is that we no longer need an E10 transmitter. Don't judge the flying as its difficult to hold a phone for videoing between clenched elbows!
