Each Deputy has taken his or her own path to get here, and every pathway to our department is a Journey. At BCSO, we are more than just a badge and a uniform and we are more than just a nameless face that represents a law enforcement entity. There is more to us than just our title of Deputy, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Chief Deputy, Under Sheriff or Sheriff. We are no different than the people we serve. We were born into loving families and have been taught to serve others from a very young age. We feel joy and pain and are not immune to the tragedies and trials of life. We laugh, we cry, we share special moments with each other and loved ones, and our hearts are set on serving the community we love. We are all on a Journey that has lead us down a path to a career of service with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and each of our Journeys had a beginning….
