Bulacan played the most important role in Philippine history as it has the most important and famous historical landmarks like the Barasoain Church. It is popularly known as the seat of the Malolos Constitution in 1898 where the first constitution was signed and enacted. It is also the site of the Inauguration of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo as the Pres. of the 1st Phil. Republic 1st Phil. Republic in 1899. That’s why it has been hailed as the “Cradle of Democracy in the East”.
