Over the years, we have worked to expand the support for students with special educational needs. Among others, we have enhanced teacher capacity in teaching and learning. We have also diversified education pathways through efforts to enhance the Vocational Education curriculum.
“The ultimate goal of Special Education (SPED) is for every student to lead the life they want, to live independently, learn continuously, and work meaningfully, to the fullest extent achievable,” says Dr Chong Suet Ling, Principal Educational Psychologist at the Special Education Branch in MOE. Watch this video, narrated by Dr Chong, to see how two of our SPED graduates, Ms Nurul Emilliana Bte Amran and Mr Woo Ken Hwa, have gained independence and are making valued contributions to society.
