(30 Aug 2017) Gloria Coelho presented her new collection challenging beauty standards Wednesday (30 AUG. 2017) at Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil.
The designer chose models of different ages and said she was inspired by the Netflix series "The Crown."
"Our inspiration came from the Netflix series 'The Crown,'" said Coelho. "So, we used all the symbols of the Queen, we used boat, yacht, women wearing swimsuit with purses. We also used Africa (inspiration) when the Queen went to Africa."
Ronaldo Fraga also presented his collection Wednesday.
He was influenced by the 1920s when the Brazilian elite began using the beach as leisure creating an image of sensuality and youth that has lasted for generations.
The 44th edition of the event started on Aug. 27 in various parts of the city of Sao Paulo and will continue in Ibirapuera Park until Aug. 31.
"I love fashion, I love Brazil" is the theme of Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
