This half-hour documentary illustrates how valuable a resource wetlands are by helping to clean our drinking water, reduce flooding, reduce pests, act as a biodiversity nursery, and slow climate change by absorbing carbon. This documentary was credited with helping to pass a wetlands law in New Paltz when it was screened at Upstate Films, The Greenburgh Center, the Rosendale Theatre, public access TV stations, town hall meetings, and even a Hudson River Barge to kick off Creek Week. The NYS DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program distributed the DVD around the Hudson Valley. Amazing what you can do with a tiny camcorder! I was videographer and Callie Hershey was executive producer. Save the Wetlands!
