Astra Petershon (real name Zinaida Popa) is a young, unknown but ambitious artist who, despite not having a strong voice or exceptional talent, confidently and boldly pursues her goal of representing her home country in the international Eurovision Song Contest.
Zinaida was born in the amazing city of Chișinău. She graduated from the State University of Moldova with a degree in Mathematics and Information Technology.
Although Astra has no musical education, she sings wonderfully with her soul rather than with technique! In April 2024, Astra met similarly young and ambitious Swedish composers who noticed her incredible singing ability. Together with Astra, they prepared her first single titled "Heartbreak Heroine," which not only aims to represent Moldova at Eurovision but also to bring the country its first victory.
