We are on 1st Avenue in Sunset Park in Brooklyn, where we get treated to the only street running operation in all of New York City. We see the NY/NJ train (formerly known as Cross Harbor), as it returns from interchange with the New York & Atlantic on the Bay Ridge Branch. Tomorrow, the cars will be placed onto a car float and moved by barge to Greenville Yard in New Jersey, where they will be brought back to the main land. This operation has some regularity to it, but is only on an as needed basis (it's not regularly scheduled). Today's consist is former UP SW1500 1133 with an 11 car mixed freight. Enjoy the sight of street running, as well as the sounds of the engine. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
