Dabong is absolutely interesting. It comes with many perks. One of them is the jungle train ride experience.
Dabong, besides the mysterious light coming into a dark cave, ah yes, that’s another story to tell.
Lately, for the past 3 weeks Dabong has been receiving lots of visitors and it's apparent in many groups news. Some I was told had to line up for hours at the train station to get the train ticket. Some had to turn back and cancel their plans when looking at the packed train stations. This is a good problem for KTM. It's a problem that we are hoping for. Hehe.
The train tunnels we passed thru in this video were completed in 1930. For almost a century, they are still standing strong.
Ah, by the way, the inside-the-cab videos were captured on the 25107. The 25 Class formally called Pulau Langkawi. She is an American beauty. Had a great opportunity to embark in her crib with two great drivers (who also played great roles in KTM Merdeka video production). We went thru a few tunnels. She was submerged in a great 2014 flood, but through great efforts by KTM staff, she was revived and continue serving like normal.
This is a special edition, cut short to less than two minutes.
