WHAT IS DISCUSSED IN THIS VIDEO
A Posterior Capsular Opacification (PCO), or Posterior Capsular Haze is one of the most common side effects after having cataract surgery. Different studies show a range of 20-50% of people getting a pco in either or both eyes. This is casued from left over lens cells that proliferate over the capsular bag. They symptoms of a pco are the same as a normal cataract, including blurry vision, glare, halos, poor night vision, hazy vision. This is often the reason why it is referred to as a "secondary cataract". Luckily, a YAG laser, performing a yag capsulotomy, can remove the pco and improve vision very fast.
