Sing from your belly! Sing from your diaphragm! Sounds familiar, right? But what does it mean exactly? Is it a singing myth?

In this #shorts I show you how this advice is often interpreted, as well as what it actually means and how you can feel whether you're "singing from your belly" or not. Hint: it has more to do with your abdominal muscles than your gut.

But why would you want to hear *me* talk about vocal technique?
I am actually a trained vocal coach with a bachelor's degree in performing arts (4 year jazz studies w. vocals as main instrument at the University of Stavanger, this following a 3 year music program in high school where I was also clasically trained) with integrated practical pedagogical training. I've also worked hands on as a vocal coach privately, as well as at public music schools and a performing arts high school.

I've decided to upload a short video every Saturday in April in addition to my regular video Wednesdays, where I plan to include vocal technique as well as other short form singing shenanigans.
