Popular pensioner Olive Veronesi made a sign telling neighbours that she was running low on alcohol. An image of her with her placard, which read "I NEED MORE BEER!!" went viral over the weekend, attracting more than a million likes. Now a beer company has stepped in to help out, the Daily Star reports. Olive, from Pennsylvania, was pictured holding the white board in one hand and a can of Coors Light beer in the other. And it didn't take long for Olive's prayers to be answered. Word of the pensioner’s plea reached Coors Light, and the company stepped in to help. They donated 150 cans of beer to Olive – which should help to keep her going throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Molson Coors' Mark Linder is chuffed that he was able to make the delivery. He commented: "My associate and I put in 10 cases of beer, and drove up, and made sure Olive got her beer so she can continue her healthy regimen of a Coors Light a day." Mark isn’t the only one to offer to get the beers in for Olive. The original photo went viral on Facebook over the weekend, racking up more than one million views. After the post swept the web, many offered to send drinks Olive’s way. One commenter remarked: “I’d get her some and sit outside her door and have a few with her!” Another said: "This is great... I would so deliver her a beer." And a third added: "I wish I lived near her, I would happily buy her some cases."
