The Basic Education Ministry announced on Thursday its three-year curriculum recovery plan, to mitigate the impact of lost schooling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan will kick off when schools re-open in January.
Minister Angie Motshekga says the plan focuses on fundamental content knowledge, skills, attitudes and values required in each grade and subject.
In August this year, Motshekga announced learners would only be taught 70% of the 2020 curriculum and be assessed on that and the remaining 30% will be part of the three year curriculum recovery plan.
