Sony's Mark Weir won't say it directly (he's a polite guy), but I will: I think the a9 is aimed at the heart of Canon's and Nikon's top of the line DSLRs - the ones used by the pro sports shooters. On first blush, the big boys should be worried, especially with the addition of the FE 100-400mm G-Master simultaneously announced for it. I'll know more over the next 24 hours as I go for a more substantialhands-on trial.
